Dear Philoptochos members,


We have a number of great upcoming events. Please mark your calendar and join us!


Documentary Film-February 10th- Following Divine Liturgy, we will be showing a documentary film called Love to the End. Saint Maria of Paris was a Russian Orthodox nun who gave refuge to the Jewish people in Paris during World War II. All are welcome to attend.


Red Cross Blood Drive February 16th- 10:00-3:00. The 60th Anniversary Committee will be hosting a Red Cross Blood Drive for individuals 17yrs. old and older. Reservations are recommended and can be made by visiting redcrossblood.org and entering SD02493 or by calling 1-800-733-2767. Walk -ins are welcome too. Please support this worthy cause.


Loukoumades Sundays-February 24th- We will be selling loukoumades to raise funds for our various charities. Come see us during coffee hour!


Apokriatiko Glendi-March 3rd- Join us for our annual Apokriatiko Glendi immediately following Divine Liturgy. $15.00 –Adults and $5.00 –Children (12 and younger). Appetizers will be served. Tickets can be purchased during coffee hour.


Lenten Retreat-March 22-23rd- We will be going to the St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center in Contoocook, NH for our annual retreat. The theme is “The Kingdom of God is Within You.” The cost of the retreat is $150.00 pp. double occupancy. This includes meals.  Please come by the Philoptochos table during coffee hour to RSVP and for more details.


Palm Sunday Bake Sale-April 21st- We will be hosting a bake sale with an assortment of delicious baked goods and tsourekia.


Lamb Raffle-April 21st- We will be raffling off four lambs. Tickets will be mailed soon.


2019 Membership- Membership letters will be mailed soon.


Catering- Please contact Pam Brody at brodster52@yahoo.com or stop by the Philoptochos table for more details. You can also go to the St. Demetrios website under Philoptochos to view the catering menu.


Coffee Hour Hosting- If you have the time, we encourage everyone to help host at least one Sunday. We always need the help and would really appreciate everyone’s involvement throughout the year.
